Macramé workshop

10:00am-12.30pm

Come and learn the knotting techniques used to make a Macramé plant hanger. Price includes all materials and glass of fizz upon arrival. You will receive full tuition and demonstration on the construction and knot work we will be using so you won't need any prior knowledge or experience. You will walk away with a completed plant hanger and the skills to continue this technique and newly acquired craft at home. The class will be kept to a Max of 6 people and will be 2.5 hours long.

The Write Space is a monthly writing group created to connect, guide and inspire you if you write or dream of writing either for personal pleasure, blogging or books. A safe place and space to stretch your comfort zone, find courage through writing, get to know yourself a little more and make some penpals. A space you can experiment with different forms of writing, experience the practice of journaling and the power of connection to enhance your creativity, wellbeing or build your courage muscles to enable you to step into your chosen challenges, and use your words freely. Beginners are most welcome.

Spring Soy Candle Making Workshop

Join Becky, founder of Hazel & Blue for a beginners soy candle making workshop where you will be gifted, step-by-step, through the candle-making process before making your own. Find your signature scent from a selction of nature-inspired fragrance oils and create your own bespoke candle label. A perfect introduction to candle-making and a chance to make your own unique soy candle, created from simple, honest ingrediants using natural elements to help you to make your own candle. £35 per person to include tea, coffee on arrival, a 90 minute workshop and of course your own soy candle creation to take home. Suggested ages 16 and up, all abilities welcome

A vierity of fun art and craft activities for 7 to 11 year olds. We will organise projects with different materials and techniques including, paint, papier mache, printing, cardmaking, wool, pompoms, fabric, macrame, fossil making, etc. The emphasis is to have fun whilst using and learning new skills.

10am-1pm

This is a class for beginners and artists who like to experiment with different watercolour techniques. I'll take you through the methods that watercolourist's use, like wet into wet and lifting out the colour. We will also have fun experimenting with materials including salt, cling film, granulation medium and much more.

POSTPONED DUE TO CORONA VIRUS Willow Weaving for Beginners

10am-12noon

Learn how to make a traditional tension tray. These are a great introduction to willow weaving, where the tension placed by the willow rods holds the tray together. Your finished piece can have many functions – as a bread server, fruit platter, flower display base, or as a traditional piece to decorate your wall. Each participant will create one tension tray at least to take home. All materials, plus tea and biscuits provided. Suitable for beginners, adults 18 or over.

Fused Glass Workshops

Fused glass workshops run throughout the year. Alex from Compton's Glass Workshop teaches all ages and ability. The workshops are friendly and relaxed. Your glass work is fired in a kiln and ready for collection one week later.

Each of the sessions consists of a different taught skill/task (including painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media and textiles embellishment methods) and are designed to be accessible as individual workshops as well as building on previous skills over time. They are a great way to explore a range of different techniques and discover what works for you.
