Fortnightly Art Club Cath Siswick
Looking to develop your creativity in 2019? Each of the sessions consists of a different taught skill/task (including painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media and textiles embellishment methods) and are designed to be accessible as individual workshops as well as building on previous skills over time. With a relaxed and supportive atmosphere these sessions are suitable for all abilities, with no previous experience necessary. They are a great way to explore a range of different techniques and discover what works for you.
Come and learn the knotting techniques used to make a Macramé plant hanger. Price includes all materials. You will receive full tuition and demonstration on the construction and knot work we will be using so you won't need any prior knowledge or experience. You will walk away with a completed plant hanger and the skills to continue this technique and newly acquired craft at home. The class will be kept to a Max of 6 people and will be 2.5 hours long.

Rag Rug Making for Beginners
Have fun turning old clothing and fabric offcuts into beautiful rugs, comfy cushions and unique homeware with the traditional craft of rag rugging. Taught by expert crafter and author, Elspeth Jackson, you will learn how to use the rag rug equipment, how to choose and prepare materials, how to design a rag rug and how to do three different techniques. During the class, you will have plenty of 1-2-1 attention, advice and inspiration as you begin a project of your choice. By the end of the workshop, you will have all the skills you need to begin any rag rug project for yourself at home. All materials are provided.
