Beginner Knicker Making Workshop
Learn how to make your own knickers with a small group taught by Yelena from Sew Projects.
In this class you will learn how to make a woven or rigid pair of knickers. You will cut out your fabric using a Sew Projects beginner knicker pattern and then learn how to sew your knickers up with a sewing machine. At the end of the workshop you will have a completed pair of knickers in your size that you can take home and wear!
The workshop is suitable for all levels, however you will have to know how to use a sewing machine. Please bring your own sewing machine if you have one but if not there are some available to use at the Gallery.
Saturday 23rd November 10am-2.30pm with 15 min tea break
£45 per person.
All materials are included in the price, however you may bring your own fabric if you wish! You will need to bring a small sewing kit. An information pack will be sent to you via email after purchase.

Applique a Picture
This workshop working with bonda web applique, hand and machine embroidery to recreate a photograph of your choice. You do not need any previous experience, pic- ture choice is going to be very important so contact Jen to discuss images and ideas, collect scraps of fabrics and appropriate thread colours.Some
fabrics will be provided but may not work with your colour schemes.There could be an opportunity to hand dye some required colours. You will finish by framing your piece in an A3 frame (provided).
Cuppa & cake provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch. There are local cafes within walking distance if you prefer.

Mini Hoop Christmas Decorations
Join me at The Court Street Gallery in Trowbridge to make some fabulous christmas tree decorations! Using mini hoops, a little stitching and a few beads, in two hours create a unique decoration to treasure.

Rag Rug Wreath
Taught by rag rug expert and author, Elspeth Jackson, in this beginners' class you will learn the basic rag rug techniques, whilst making a beautiful rag rug wreath in the morning, as well as an everlasting rag rug bouquet in the afternoon. Elspeth will share with you all her tips and tricks so that you're able to embark more beautiful upcycled projects for yourself at home.

Full Day Rag Rug
Have fun turning fabric offcuts into gorgeous recycled homeware with the age-old skill of rag rugging. In this introductory class, you will learn how to select and prepare materials, as well as how to do both the loopy and shaggy rag rug techniques. You will gain the skills to embark on rag rug projects at home and will leave having started a rag rug project of your choice.

Free Machine Embriodery
Come along and learn the basics of this exciting free sewing technique using stitch to draw you will create a piece of artwork from an image of your choice. You will use the thread to create outlines and explore stitch techniques to infill colour. We will finish off your picture by framing. Limited places available due to machine availibility.
If you bring your own machine please check you can drop the dog teeth and have a free machine/darning foot, you will need thread and pieces of fabric cut to approx A3 in size.
